12 days of Root Beer: Day 5

“On the 5th day of root beer Kim Belding gave to me…”

The original Bulldog root beer.  This is an outstanding root beer.  It has an excellent balance of flavor, It is not overly carbonated and has an outstanding finish.  The body is light and doesn’t feel like you are drinking a heavy syrup and it has an amazing vanilla finish.

This is root beer done right.  A 10 out of 10 on this one.  No gimmicks like the butterscotch root beer, just a really great old fashioned root beer.  It hits all the right notes.  I would definitely recommend that you check this one out and look around for it.  I haven’t seen it in the stores around here, you may have to check on line or at specialty stores like BevMore.  It is well worth it.

The bulldogs on the label are named Barley and Hops according to the website, and they are real bulldogs owned by the people who brought us this rare elixir.  It is made with real sugar and natural ingredients and it comes across like someone actually cared about the process.  It is a local micro-brew, so it is a little more expensive than the commercial brands, but if you see it, grab it and thank me later.

Until next time True Believers, may your mug always be frosted and your root beer always foamy.  Tune in tomorrow for day 6: Red Arrow Root Beer
